French Prairie Loop

Description

Distance 33 miles. Join us on a scenic loop through the historic French Prairie area in the Willamette Valley south of Champoeg State Park. We’ll pass by Heirloom Roses nursery on the way to coffee at Banker’s Cup Café in downtown St. Paul. After coffee the route continues south to the (very) small town of St Louis then loops back north to Champoeg. Suggest bringing a picnic lunch for after the ride. Non-group ride but leaders’ pace will be leisurely to moderate.
Address: Champoeg State Park/Riverside Day Use area. From I-5 south take the Ehlen Rd/Aurora Exit (#278), turn right (west) and follow signs to the park. After turning into the park entrance proceed to the self-serve kiosk at bottom of hill (Note: there is a $5 day use fee). From the kiosk turn left (west) and go 8/10th mile to the Riverside Day Use area.
