Hubbard to Silverton -Portland Bicycling Club

Hubbard to Silverton

Description

Our destination is some delightful cafe in beautiful downtown Silverton. Two outgoing routes are available and the route will be decided at the start. The 50 mile route has the least traffic. Most of this ride is scenic farm country on flat roads and traffic is very low. Be prepared for a crossing a historic covered bridge near Silverton. We will re-group every 5 miles, riding in two speed groups: Scenic at 16-17 mph, and Brisk at 18-19 mph (possibly a little slower on rainy/fender days and faster on dry days). Scenic riders: If you can keep a pace of at least 16 mph and are the only one in the Scenic group, someone from the Brisk group will happily ride with you. If you ride slower than 16 you are very welcome to attend but please print a map if you are unfamiliar with the route.
