REI – South Skyline – Banks Loop

Description

The start is at the upper parking lot near REI. This is a repeat of last months inaugural ride, where only a few riders enjoyed this new route. Warm up on Helvetia then pedal up Logie Trail, which becomes Johnson, to Skyline. This nearly 5 mile ascent is the hardest part of this ride, After a few miles on Skyline, blast down Moreland and Dorland, which are some of the nicest downhills in the area. Travel familiar roads near North Plains and Roy, on route to Banks for refreshments, followed by about 18 mostly flat miles to the finish.
